Recruitment Watch
A monitoring list of twelve U21 midfielders who have already played at least 450 competitive minutes this season while their current XAGON median estimate still sits below €5m. It is a starting point for scouting work, not a ranking of who is best.

This list is deliberately narrow and fully specified. A player qualifies only if, through matches played to 21 October 2026, he is 21 or younger, is classified a midfielder under XAGON's canonical position layer, has logged at least 450 competitive minutes in one of XAGON's covered competitions, and carries a current XAGON median estimate — not a stale or historical one — below €5m. Twelve players clear every filter.
A word on midfielder. For most players the finest reliable distinction is the broad group — central, defensive and advanced midfielders sit together here. So read this as midfielders, not specifically central midfielders; where the data cannot separate a deep-lying passer from an advanced creator, this list does not pretend to.
The cohort is led, on goal involvements per 90 minutes, by Enzo Clavreul at Laval in France's Ligue 2 — two goals and four assists in 586 minutes, a rate of 0.92. But the rate flatters the workload: he has started only five matches, so a large share of those minutes arrived from the bench. His current median estimate is €2.3m, inside a band that runs from roughly €0.2m to €35m.
Darren Mukasa at West Ham, 19 and the youngest here, is the opposite usage profile: nine starts in 683 Championship minutes, three goals and an assist (0.53 per 90). Gorka Gorosabel (Real Sociedad B) and Fabio Rispoli (Südtirol) are both 20, near 700–780 minutes with genuine starting roles, at 0.46 and 0.41. Diogo Sousa, 20, is the one top-flight name — seven starts for Strasbourg in Ligue 1.
Goal involvements per 90 are not comparable across these leagues at face value. A rate of 0.92 in Ligue 2 and a rate of 0.35 in Ligue 1 are not a ranking of talent; the top flight is a stiffer test, and XAGON's competition-strength layer weights that.
Rates are per 90 on reliable counting stats above a 450-minute floor; cross-league comparison is weighted by XAGON competition strength; all valuations are current. This is a monitoring list, not a transfer recommendation: a compact shortlist that merits deeper scouting work. The valuation bands are enormous by design and six-match samples are small.
